Hamble Spring Food Festival: A Waterfront Celebration of Local Flavours in 2026
Hamble Spring Food Festival takes place on Saturday 2 May 2026 from 10am to 3pm at the Foreshore Car Park in Hamble le Rice right by the river.
It is organised with Hampshire Farmers Markets and brings together around 40 stalls of local producers. You can expect fresh vegetables, free range meats like lamb beef pork sausages and bacon, fish, honey, jams, chutneys, artisan breads, cakes, plants, wines, gins, beers and more. Many stalls offer samples so you can try before buying.
Godshill Cherries – Godshill Orchards grow fruit with love on the southern slopes of the Isle of Wight.
There is also freshly cooked street food and drinks available on the day. Live music plays to set a good atmosphere. Face painting is provided usually by Glittering the South. Craft stalls sell handmade items and there is general family entertainment.
The whole event is free to enter. It has a relaxed village feel where you can chat directly with the producers and support small local businesses. Dogs are welcome on leads.
The location next to the water makes it easy to combine with a walk along the waterfront or time watching the boats. Hamble is a historic sailing village so the setting adds to the appeal.
The Taste of Purbeck – Family owned and ethically led, the Purbeck team have been making award winning, entirely natural Purbeck Ice Cream for over 30 years.
After the market closes at 3pm you could head into the village for a pub lunch or visit nearby spots like Hamble Common.
A similar Harvest Food Festival runs on Saturday 3 October 2026 with the same format but focused on autumn produce.
For the latest stall list or any updates check the Hampshire Farmers Markets website or the Hamble Parish Council page. The event is popular so parking at the Foreshore Car Park can fill up. Plan to arrive early if you want a good spot.
This is a straightforward low key day out for anyone who likes good local food and a bit of live entertainment by the river.
